Face Painting Tips

Not only is face painting a fun activity.  It is also a very popular one among many people.   Face painting interests individuals from young children to older adults.  There are several things that you can do in order to achieve long-lasting and professional face painting creations.   Following are a few tips that will help you achieve the best results.

*  There are two different ways that you can do face painting.   You can either do it by using paint from tubs, or by using stick paints.   Both are suitable ways.     However,  it is best to experiment with each one to see which method you might prefer.

*  When doing face painting,  many people often do not realize that to cover a large area,  it is best to use a sponge.   Not only is using a sponge much faster,   but the paint is more evenly applied to the skin.    Using several sponges,  one for each color of paint,  will also reduce the time spent on your creation.

*  In some ways,  face painting is similar to regular painting.   One way is that colors will mix if you do not allow the paint to dry between applications.  (If you have painted very much,  you are aware that paints that mix when we don’t want them to can end up looking like mud!)    The best way to have the paint dry quickly is to apply light, filmy layers.   Not only will this allow the paint to dry more quickly,  but it will also strengthen the paint by having multiple coats.

*  Have a painting concept in mind before you start painting.   The person you are painting will appreciate having a great design created by you in a timely manner.   Your face painting designs do not have to be complicated to achieve a great result.   Anyone will appreciate you doing nice work in a reasonable amount of time.  Not only will this help you to finish quicker,  but it will also make you appear more professional.

*  In order to create designs quickly,  feel free to ask the next person in line what type of design he or she prefers.   You can do this while you are finishing with your current design.   This will give you an idea of what colors you will need and will allow you to get immediately organized and started on the next person.

*  Have baby wipes handy.   They are a great alternative to such things as tissues,  paper towels,  and toilet paper.  As baby wipes are already moist,  you can easily be used to wipe wet or dry paint off.   Besides being low in cost,  they also absorb more moisture than ordinary tissues.   These wipes will help you not only work quicker, but will also help you do face painting with ease.  Your results and skills will look more professional.
